My suite at the Hotel Grapevine Springs--  my favorite campground.  About 30 feet downstream is a 1000' drop.  We had breakfast the next morning sitting on that precipitous ledge.

When you find shade on the Tonto Trail, you use it.  This large rock is at Cottonwood Springs, about a mile from Cottonwood campground.  The others explored up that canyon while I pondered the next day's climb up Horseshoe Mesa (behind me here) and beyond.
