View from Shoshone Point, looking east to the area we'd be hiking the next five days.  We began from rim at Grandview Point (upper left), hiked down to Horseshoe Mesa (center), then down to Cottonwood Creek (near side of mesa).  Day two we hiked to the left, around the point, then back into Grapevine Canyon.  Note the Colorado River in upper left.
