THE RAYS OF SUNSHINE

All of us can think of special individuals who always manage to find time to help other people. 14/WILI and the Mohegan Sun have a name for those special people. They are Connecticut's RAYS OF SUNSHINE, and together we're paying tribute to them. Hear acceptance interviews with many of our Ray of Sunshine winners by clicking here. Pamela Bibeau is our latest Ray of Sunshine award winner. Tricia Figueroa's nomination letter said:

I have the perfect person for the Ray of Sunshine award! Her name is Pamela Bibeau. For a while now she has helped out in numerous ways. She has been a teacher in the school systems for at least 10 years now and specializes in helping disabled and troubled children. She enjoyes her job and does all she can to help the kids. Also on the side of her job for the past 2 years she has been president of the Windham Youth Organization softball/baseball league. She got nominated for this position because of her previous years helping out and being devoted to helping the organization grow so that kids can have a fun and learning experience. She has helped the program not only to grow on number but age groups as well. This year she added a fast pitch league for high school girls beacuse there was such a demand for it. Pam spends just about everyday but sundays at the fields either doing field work, helping coach, running the consessions stand, trying to listen to complaints, working things out with schedules, and everything else that goes with all of that. Pam is doing all of this as a volunteer, she isnt paid for this job, but she is so devoted to these kids, more than to her real job she is devoted to helping this program. I think she deserves this award because she needs to be recognized for all she does and has to put up with while trying to just make everything a swell place for kids to play ball and have fun! I hope you put her at least on the maybe list for this award. I know that if you talk to anyone in the league they will tell you the same great things about her! Thank you so much for your time!
