WAYNE NORMAN BROADCASTS LIVE FROM THE SAFE HAVEN ALPACA FARM IN HAMPTON
WILI's Wayne Norman broadcast portions of the morning show live from the Safe Haven Alpaca Farm in Hampton on December 9, 2006. The broadcast culminated a promotion which saw Amy and Tom Miyashiro and Ann and Marie Pedro win a gourmet dinner prepared by James Martin, owner of 85 Main in Putnam, then an overnight stay and morning breakfast at the beautifully appointed Safe Haven Bed and Breakfast. Here are some photos from the weekend.
The dinner began with a custom made menu
First course: Assorted cheese and fresh fruit--brie, asiago, chevre, Danish Bleu Cheese
Second course: Roasted Acorn Squash Soup--Braeburn apples, Palomino sherry, Crispy sage and truffle oil
Third course: Noonie's Arugula Salad--Baby Arugula tossed with apricot-lemon dressing, Danish bleu, grape tomatoes and candied walnuts
Fourth course: 85 Main Crab Cake--Pan fried Maryland style lump crab cake with Dijon dill cream
Fifth course: Duck Confit with blueberry and port reduction, wild mushroom risotto and seared asparagus
